https://i.pinimg.com/originals/61/56/7b/61567bf1560a14faa5e5ab7688030913.jpg

I find this inforgaphic inspirational because it has the following features:

  • clear & easy to read layout
  • simple colours
  • creative use of icons
  • informative & professional
As a result of looking at this fashion designers infographic CV I will also try to design my Infogrpahic to have those features. I will use simple colours, to keep it professional. I will upload my achievements and my places of study. I will also include my Design Skills, and my digital skills.

Process & Software

I begun with an initial idea by drawing the timeline on paper. (upload the photo).
Software for infographics:
I considered using Canva & Pictochrt.com I decided to use Canva software because they have more choice of templates and it looks more professional.

Website Re-Design Gallery Page

EXAMPLE BLOG POST

Fashion Gallery

I will be making the following improvements on my Fashion Gallery Page:
I will be removing the unnecessary link that appeared on my gallery page in my portfolio:

  • The "Get in Touch" button is highlighted on the screenshot below in blue. At the moment it is not linked to anything. Therefore some users of my website may find it confusing.

  • Fonts I will be improving the font consistency on my Gallery Page currently there are 7 different types of fonts on the gallery page:

To improve the consistency on the website I will be using maximum of 3 fonts on my website. The text must all be the same, but the logo and the title could be different. This will hopefully make my website more attractive and professional.

  • Gallery / Portfolio I will be removing a collaborative project from the Gallery of my website. I would like to focus on the Fashion industry, in order to prepare for my MA in Fashion Design. The work I will be uploading to my gallery must focus on Fashion Design and i would like to present myself as a fashion designer.
I will be uploading my Garment Project into my Gallery as this will be a fashion projector.
  • Social Media: I will be improving my social media presence and include a link on my website to the social media accounts:
This is my Instagram account. To make it more professional as my fashion design portfolio I will make the following improvements:
1. Add an introduction (about me as a fashion designer)
2. Upload at least 25 posts (images with description & #fashion design)
3. Follow independent fashion designers who are inspirational to me.
4. I will remove unnecessary images.

Packaging Design project

Packaging Design

In today's class we begun thinking about packaging design. This is our first project, for which we have to design packaging for a product as a group. My team members are: Grace and Rosie and me.
We will start this project in class and finish this for homework. The project is due in on Monday the 10th April.

The initial research into the food packing indicated that there are many different designers working in this field of design.

Sara Lee is a brand of bread packaging.

https://www.saraleebread.com/our-breads (accessed on 06/04/2017)

The logo looks like a red ribbon therefore it is very memorable and look almost like it is inspired by a celebration or a special event. The bread packaging tends to be clear and show the product through it. The graphic elements are strong, like the font of the text, and the colour used.

Innitial Ideas

For our group project we have chosen to design vegan & gluten free bread packaging.
The Vegan and Gluten Free products are very limited in the UK at the moment and they tent to be placed on a different isle in the supermarkets, to the rest of the bread.
Our target market will be mainly parents and children. The theme will be Disney, as this is a very popular brand that is loved by children world wide.

To begin the design process we will be sketching  the popular Disney characters.

We will then be looking at the shapes and colours.

We will be looking at the size of the children's lunch boxes to make sure the slices of bread fit into the sandwich unit.

We will be researching the RRP (price point) for the product and where it can be sold, and a place to hold the product launch.

Sequential Images

Artist Research

Elliott Erwitt

Through my research it became apparent that the photographer was mainly interested in the process of the photography:

“The process is sometimes more interesting than the finished picture” [http://time.com/3781974/elliott-erwitt-sequentially-yours/] accessed on 12/01/2017

This is a sequence of photographs that I found interesting, because it looks incredibly intriguing in the story line of the sequence.

Process of designing the packaging

In my group we chose to use Photoshop software to create the design

This is how we started to make the design
First we decided it will be a rectangular shape packaging

I've used a pencil tool to draw the rectangular shape in Photoshop.

Packaging Design Project

Packaging Design

This post will be about the Packaging design project
My team members are: Louisa, Doris, Zachary
This is a new project for us, as none of us have worked on a Packaging design before.
We decided to work on packaging for bauble gum, as it's our favourite product. Each one of us had come up with different ideas for products we could choose, but then we decided the bubble gum.

To start the research we wanted to look at the American Pop Culture.

To start our research we looked at the Extra Brand packaging:
